Playa De San Juan
Seven kilometers of golden sands, gives this beach a reputation as one of the best in Spain. Catering also for golf enthusiasts, there is a golf course with 18 holes for those who like to keep active in the sun. Quite a simple beach, the facilities such as cafe’s and restaurants are all in one area at the city end of the beach, so if you like space and miles of uninterrupted sand, this could be the beach for you.
Playa de Postiguet
This beach is the easiest to get to from Alicante as it is situated in the middle of the city. Easy to reach by bus or tram, there is also an underground car park available for those who have hired a car for their holiday, or are staying out of town. The beach is next door to the Marina, so once you have baked in the sun, you are just a stones throw away from a picturesque stroll taking in the sleek boats and expensive yachts in the harbour, or dining in some of the finest restaurants in the area. The beach is well equipped to handle the amount of visitors that enjoy spending time there, with facilities such as rest-rooms, first aid points and lifeguards, making this a safe place for families to enjoy.
El Campello is the name of a town 14 kilometers north of Alicante. The drive from Alicante takes around half an hour, and there is a tram available to take you on this journey which takes in some beautiful scenery along the way. The town makes for a perfect day trip, as there are two gorgeous beaches here, with a sweeping shady marble promenade, all against a stunning backdrop of mountain ranges. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and miles of soft golden sand. There are water sports available and another marina where the local fishermen can be seen in the late afternoon bringing their catch to shore.
