London has some of the best sights, attractions, shopping centers, theaters, and restaurants in Europe. There are so many things to do in the city and it’s quite difficult to narrow down the fun things you can do while in it. However, if you need more reasons to visit London, here are some events this year that might just tempt you to book your next trip to the city.
The Rugby World Cup 2015
If you’re a fan of Rugby, you better get to London this year. England will host the 2015 Rugby World Cup from September 18 to October 31, and many of the main matches will be played in London stadiums including Wembley, Twickenham, and the Olympic Stadium.
St. Giles Casino is one of London’s premier casinos, and it has been acquired by the Grosvenor Group in 2013. Since its acquisition, it has become a popular destination for casino goers of all walks of life. Mayfair Casinos, the information portal to London’s most exclusive gaming establishments, describes the newly-acquired Grosvenor St. Giles Casino as a place that combines “all the elements of a beautiful classic casino with a modern twist.”
Celebrate London’s rich history
2015 marks the 500th anniversary of the construction of Hampton Court Palace. It is a great place to visit if you want to see London in its early years. Go on a tour around its huge garden, take selfies inside the rooms, get lost in the palace maze, and marvel at the Great Hall!
2015 also marks the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta after it was issued by King John of England to make peace with some Barons and issue the protection of church rights. The British Library will be holding a special event for it, exploring its past and significance to the modern-day democracy.
